JUNE ROSE Copyright 2013 Sheila Kimball

The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing.
Isaiah 35:1-2

Today, June 7, would have been my Grandmother Esther’s {we called her Ma} 105th birthday!

Whenever these wild roses bloom in my yard it makes me think of her. She not only loved roses, but houseplants as well, and it is from her that I developed my green thumb. I even have the great grand shoots of a pothos plant I gifted her with on her last Mother’s Day four decades ago!

I guess I am just missing her a bit today, and her husband, my grandfather Poppy. It was in their two family home that I grew up and we were all very close.

Thanking God for all the sweet memories of them both. Thanking you for letting me share…

Blessings for a beautiful weekend!
