Bigger than the boogeyman…

Scared and small.

Weak and wobbly.

Lying in the dark, thoughts run wild like animals let loose from cages.

And I want to run and hide, take cover.

Unseen hands, a vise grip. Held. Yet not captive.

Lion of Judah works the night shift.

Into the everlasting arms I flee.  Only true safety, no matter what goes on around or inside me.

A strong tower, mighty fortress, shelter.

Fighting back with two-edged sword. Slicing through darkness.

Word of God alive and powerful. Repelling evil. Vanquishing fears.

Perfect Love rescues me…

Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:16

Peace reigns when Love is on the throne.

  1. Beautiful encouragement from the Word Sheila. Yes… In Him we take refuge from those dark forces we know too well, yet ultimately have no power over us because we are hidden in Christ. God bless.
